Week 2- Option 7-8 -Dessert

On this page are options 4-6 of the main course for Week 2 online learning. And the final task for Dessert. First are the three task outlines followed by a range of student responses to these tasks.

Option 7:Make a 2D bouquet or wreath of flowers click on the flowers below. Add in the words ”We Will Remember”.

Add in coloured poppies of 3 different colours as well as red poppies.





White poppies symbolism remembrance of all casualties of war including civilian casualties, and non-British casualties, to stand for peace, and not to glamorise war.

Purple poppies To commemorate animal victims of war

Black poppies the black poppy was embraced as an anti-war symbol in memory of World War I conscientious objectors.



Khadi poppy is intended to represent specific gratitude for the contribution of Indian soldiers during WW


Option 8:
Make a 3D bouquet or wreath of flowers. Add in the words ”We Will Remember”.

Combine all the ideas you have discovered over this week and create one final design.

Make sure you have taken a photo of all your ideas and final pieces and send then to me as an email. Don’t forget to add your nam, team and room to your email.

Even I had a go at making a wreath.  It was fun working with my flatmate from Singapore on this project.
The Baker family collected my wreath latter on the ANZAC day from my letterbox on their daily bike ride and Mr B laid the wreath at the cenotaph at Memorial Park.
